Re:Table was designed as a competition proposal for the competition AarhusH, where it won 1st. price.
The table was designed for the new creative hub Godsbanen in Aarhus, which is an old railway station renovated for creative workshops and offices for small bussineses.
Re:Table is inspired by old railway tracks and all wood used for the table is recycled from an old barn. The idea for the table was to emphasize the contrast between old and new: reused old wood vs. new colored steel.
The table can be adjusted from café table to bar table using the simple slide and plug mechanism on the wooden leg.
At the table top a recess is created for creative purpose. This could be used for pencils, cutlery, dice throwing or something else.
